The first PGA player from India is facing charges of street racing and possibly vehicular manslaughter after one person was killed in a Florida car crash. Arjun Atwal — whose career PGA winnings total $2,029,20 — reportedly got into a street race just outside Disneyworld. Atwal caused the other car to crash and the driver was killed. A highway trooper says skidmarks will be used to determine how fast the drivers were actually going:

“Witnesses tell us they were engaged in a street race. They estimated speeds at or about 100 mph. Park’s vehicle hit a tree and basically just shattered. Part of the axle was found in the tree. It was a very violent crash.”

Arjun Atwal has never won a tour event, but has a second place. Here’s his PGA profile: Arjun Atwal.

Please cite where “Atwal caused the other car to crash and the driver was killed” has been reported. Nowhere has this statement been made… you should be careful to not post opinion or embelish a story as a statement of fact.

It is in utter amazement that I observe that in this unfortunate situation, accountability for one’s own actions is ignored for summary judgement of another without facts………
