Next time you look at a golf cart remember the story of Charlotte “Sally” Stewart. Stewart is the proud owner of the worst tee shot in history. The 79-year old golfer was playing the third hole at Quail Point Golf Course in Oregon on Tuesday when she was run over by her 84-year old partner in the couple’s golf cart. Stewart knocked her tee shot across the paved lane. When she went after the ball her partner Beryl Pope nailed her in his cart and then tipped it on top on Stewart. The police spokesman explains:

Investigators think Pope might have accidentally hit the cart’s accelerator instead of the brake. Toxicology tests on the cart’s driver were done as part of the standard protocol.

Just goes to show you never know when it’s your turn to go. And always remember to look both ways.
