Death By Golf Cart… Again.

Another horrible death by golf cart happened again this week when a 65-year-old man plunged to his after he drove his cart off a 75-foot cliff. The man, Edward Payne, just teed off the second hole at the Pala Mesa Resort Golf Course in San Diego when his cart suddenly turned off the cart path, plowed through a 25-foot ridge and then went off the edge.
This is not the first strange death by cart. Last month a 79-year old women was crushed when her partner stepped on the gas instead of the brake and tipped the cart on top of her.
So, so wierd. Twilight zone weird.
UPDATE: Here’s a photo gallery of the golf cart death scene.

You know something I wondered is if these courses should try to have charity golf tournaments honoring these individuals and donating the proceeds of the event to the family or a charity. I would love to get feedback because I am not sure if it would look like a publicity stunt or an act of kindness to the families. What do you think?
