Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Lake ArborLake Arbor Golf Club in Arvada, Colorado, has become a golfing oasis in the middle of a city setting. Emerald green traditional fairways, tranquil ponds and creeks, and the best greens in the Denver area are what keep golfers coming back again and again. This player-friendly course measures about 5,900 yards in length and has a very walkable layout for those who enjoy a classic round. Golfer Chicks Can Make It In The Mags

golf girl
Golfer Girl Magazine is offering their pages to all you girl golfers out there. It’s a pretty cool idea. (But I don’t care that much since I’m not a girl. Maybe I’ll hop in the backround and get my girlfriend to wack a few.) If you’re part of THAT half of the population all you have to do is upload your pics on THIS webpage. All the information you need can be found right there, including release forms for you under-18 sluggers.

P.S. Thanks Golf Girl for pointing out the mag!

Death By Golf Cart… Again.

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

golf-cart
Another horrible death by golf cart happened again this week when a 65-year-old man plunged to his after he drove his cart off a 75-foot cliff. The man, Edward Payne, just teed off the second hole at the Pala Mesa Resort Golf Course in San Diego when his cart suddenly turned off the cart path, plowed through a 25-foot ridge and then went off the edge.

This is not the first strange death by cart. Last month a 79-year old women was crushed when her partner stepped on the gas instead of the brake and tipped the cart on top of her.

So, so wierd. Twilight zone weird.

UPDATE: Here’s a photo gallery of the golf cart death scene.
