GolfNow.tv Trivia Contest - Wednesday Update with Keri

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!

Okay, let’s start by saying congratulations to our winner from yesterday - Al Taylor of High Point, North Carolina. Al won a dozen Titleist Pro-V1 golf balls that we’ll have personalized just for him.

Our theme this week is the U.S. Women’s Open, which starts tomorrow and our question yesterday was on what country the first non-American winner hailed from. 61% of the entries chose Uruguay as the answer but almost 20% of you chose England. Well, one of those is correct so we’ll find out on today’s show what the correct answer was.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great Wednesday! - Keri

When Golfing At Cherry Valley, Make Sure You Bring Your Own Stripper

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

golfstrippers
Cherry Valley Golf Course in Pennsylvania is home to a rather scandalous form of private golf — play for lap dances. Apparently the course regularly closes for private parties that border on barely legal. Threesomes, lapdances, stripteases and girl-on-girl action are all the rage at Cherry Valley. And this is the State of the Quakers?!

Cherry Valley’s secrets were exposed when a friend of a local homeowner who shares a private road with the course was denied entry to his buddies home. A guard actually threatened him with violence if he didn’t leave. So the guy snuck around the bushes to see what was going on. What he found surprised everyone. And was captured on video! Check it out here: Golf and Strippers.

And no, we don’t have last minute tee times for Cherry Valley

GolfNow.tv Trivia Contest - Tuesday Update with Keri

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Hi everyone!

Okay, as it turns out we had four entries into our “GolfNow in Portland” contest, not just one. For some reason, three of them got held up in cyberspace but were submitted before the deadline so they’re officially entered. That’s still a lot fewer entries than we hoped for, but it’s enough so that one of those four people, plus a guest, will be coming here to Portland for a two-night stay and they’ll get to play one round each on both of the beautiful 18-hole courses at The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club in nearby Aloha, Oregon. So, if you were one of our four entrants, be sure to watch this Friday to see if you’re our winner!

On Thursday of this week, the U.S. Women’s Open Championship begins and our trivia theme all this week will be on that tournament. Our question yesterday was on who the very first winner was and 80% of the entries had the correct answer so we’ll find out on today’s show who it was and if your answer was correct.

Congratulations to our first winner of this week, who was Peter Walton of Huntley, Illinois and, since he was our Monday winner, he’ll be receiving one of Feel Golf’s patented Dart Thrower wedges that comes with one of their patented Full Release grips.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great Tuesday! - Keri

Tiger Woods and wife Elin have released the first set of photos of their new born baby Sam Alexis. What a lovely little family. I love how TW seems more interested in playing with dog.

GolfNow.tv Trivia Contest - Monday Update with Keri

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Happy Monday everyone!

The deadline to enter our “GolfNow in Portland” contest was just a few hours ago and - well, to be honest, it looks like we only received one entry. But, I’ll double-check that with our Producers just to make sure and then we’ll see what happens.

I want to say congratulations to our winner on last week’s Big Prize Friday show and that was Gregory Jonsson of Lisle, Illinois. Gregory won a Bag Boy three-wheel push cart with a full set of accessories: a drink cooler, a drink holder, an umbrella holder and a seat that mounts onto the cart.

Once again on this Monday, we’re giving away a wedge from Feel Golf that also comes with one of their patented Full Release Grips. But, you don’t have to wait and see if you win one because we still have our great special deal which is only for GolfNow customers. Just call Feel Golf at 1-800-257-2859, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, and you’ll get $40 off every wedge you order – no matter how many you order.

Our theme last week was the hole-in-one and on Friday’s show we also tied in our theme for this week - the U.S. Women’s Open Championship which begins this week. Our question last Friday asked you to choose which of the four women listed did not hit one of three holes-in-one made at the 1998 U.S. Women’s Open and 72% of the entries had the correct answer so we’ll find out on today’s show what the answer was. And, since the U.S. Women’s Open is this week, our trivia question each day will be about this tournament.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great Monday! - Keri

Don’t Bring Your Kids To The Minature Golf Course

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

jason
A man swinging a machete cut his way onto a minature golf course and scared the hell out of every kid in sight. The guy cut his way through a hedge, and came out the other side looking like Jason from those old school horror movies. Police arrested him without incident.

The guy even had an excuse: He was just searching for his pet racoons who escaped their living room prison in the guys house.

Interesting? I say yes.
