Tiger Wants Roided Up Golfers Significantly Penalized

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Tiger Woods is expecting commish Tim Finchem to crack down on doping golfers when the rules, regluations, and penalties are finalized:

“Given our reputation in our sport, how honorable our sport is and always has been and will continue to be, I think that the penalty’s got to be somewhat significant.”

“I don’t know how extensive. But I believe that it has to be somewhat significant because the sport has traditionally been about honor, and I think that someone who breaks that code of ethics in our sport should be penalized.”

I agree. If only the other leading athletes in other sports took this stance.

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!

First of all, I’d like to congratulate our first winner of the week who was Tim Abshagen of Knoxville, Tennessee. Tim was the winner of our daily drawing yesterday and he won a wedge from Feel Golf.

Our trivia theme all this week is on golf in Hawaii to go along with the announcement of our new GolfNow network courses there. Our first question for the week was on the first golf course built on the islands and 46% of the entries we received chose “A” while 32% chose “C”. One of those is definitely the correct answer and we’ll find out on today’s show which one it is and if you earned another entry into our daily drawings.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great day! - Keri

Make:Blog has come up with an interesting idea for juicing up your your golf game: create a point of vision. The idea behind the POV is to spell words with a light pattern. Pretty cool huh! Think about it: you can say anything you want. Anything. Like ‘I’m better than you are, na naa na na na naaa.’ Real mature huh?

Well I think it’s cool.

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

In case you don’t already know, GolfNow has just added courses all across Hawaii to our network so you can now get great tee time deals for your next trip to the 50th state. Each day this week on our show, we’ll be showing you a different course on a different island and, just to tie it all together, our trivia theme this week is all about golf in Hawaii.

Congratulations to our Big Prize Friday winner from last week who was Chul Kim of Pleasant Hills, California. Chul won an Adams IDEA Pro Hybrid i-Wood - a golf medal winner on Golf Digest’s 2007 Hot List.

We also wrapped our Ryder Cup trivia theme last week and our question on Friday had to do with who the golfer on top of the trophy is modeled after. 75% of the entries we received had the correct answer so we’ll find out on today’s show what the answer was and if you earned another entry into our daily drawings.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great day! - Keri

Hi everyone and Happy Big Prize Friday!

Today we finish up our Ryder Cup trivia week. Our question yesterday was on the first left-handed golfer to play in the Ryder Cup. We had a small split in the answers we received with 62% going with A - Peter Dawson - and then 24% going with C - Bob Charles. One of those answers is correct and so we’ll tell you the correct answer on today’s show and you can see if you were right and if you earned another entry into our daily drawings.

The winner of our daily drawing on yesterday’s show was Sergio Salinas of Rowlett, Texas. Sergio won a wedge from our sponsor, Feel Golf. Congratulations, Sergio!

Okay, that’s it for this week. Thanks to everyone who played this week and have a great weekend! - Keri
