Donald Trump is having the Scottish government review an Aberdeenshire Council decision to deny his massive golf development located along the coast. The Scottish committee says they want to make sure Aberdeen’s decision will not create “a worrying message to the rest of the world that Scotland is closed for business.”

In response, local councilor Martin Ford says “The council is being bullied. There is an important principle at stake here. It is certainly true that the council has been subject to hardball corporate American tactics.”

Mr. Trump’s organization says they have received over 50 offers for land since Aberdeen denied the plan. Donald’s rep hints the top choice is in Scotland: “An option to buy land in Northern Ireland has been signed and the clock is ticking on that at 30 days. Mr. Trump has been extremely impressed by the speed with which the Scottish Government has intervened.”

So what’s holding the Trump Organization from moving on?
