Hi, everyone and happy Monday!

Last Friday’s question was kind of fun and featured a couple of big names from Hollywood’s history in an unusual event on a golf course. 75% of the entries we received had the correct answer and, on today’s show, we’ll tell you which golf course it was and find out if you earned another entry into our daily drawings.

Our prize on Friday’s show was a free shirt and hat from Basic Golf plus a free round of golf from GolfNow.com and our winner was Mike Camardese of Orlando,Florida. We heard from Mike over the weekend, along with Roger Jamison of Spokane, Washington, who won a PING putter on Thursday, so we’ll be getting their prizes out right away.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great day! - Keri

We’re giving away a PING Karsten Series Putter today on GolfNow’s Trivia Contest

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Hi, everyone!

So, our question on yesterday’s show was a little tricky, or the answer was and we had one of the biggest splits that we’ve had in a while. 15% of the entries we received chose both “A” and “B”, then 27% went with “C” and, finally, 43% chose “D”. Well, I will say that the majority were correct and we’ll explain everything on today’s show and show you a lot of these interesting Tiger postage stamps.

Our prize on yesterday’s show was a NIKE Slingshot Tour golf bag and our winner was Gloria Wheat of San Mateo, California. Gloria is one of our regulars on the comments section and we heard from her yesterday with a lovely note and she was so excited to win. Congratulations, Gloria!

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great Thursday and don’t forget that coverage of the first round of the Zurich Classic begins today on the Golf Channel! - Keri

No Wie At Safeway International

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

After receiving a sponsor exemption to play, Michelle Wie dropped out of the 2008 Safeway International. She has reportedly “tweaked” an injury to her wrist during practice and immediately sought out consultation from a doctor and Los Angeles’ hand specialist where she was diagnosed with only a sprain. Still, the sprain was enough for the 18-year old Stanford freshman to sit out this year’s tournament.

In the Fields Open in Hawaii late last month, Wie finished 20 strokes behind winner Paula Creamer. It was the only tournament Wie has played in this year.

Isleworth Stomps Nona For Tavistock Cup

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Lake Isleworth reclaimed the Tavistock Cup yesterday, topping Lake Nona in the ultimate battle between the rivaling Florida country clubs.

Tiger Woods got himself back into the winner’s circle after his disappointing loss at the WGC-CA Championship in Doral last weekend, ending his five consecutive PGA TOUR winning streak and sending him to the clubhouse two behind Aussie winner Geoff Ogilvy.

J.B. Holmes of Isleworth earned medalist honors for the day and $500,000.
