We’re giving away a NIKE Slingshot Tour Golf Bag today on GolfNow TV

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Hi, everyone and happy Wednesday!

With baseball season starting up, our question on yesterday’s show combined that sport with golf. We actually asked the same question last year in a slightly different form and 88% of the entries we received had the correct answer. So, on today’s show, we’ll tell you who it was and, if your answer was correct. then you’ll earn another entry into our daily drawings.

Our prize on yesterday’s show was a Callaway golf grab bag and our winner was Phil Huddleston of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I’m not sure what’s going on in Murfressboro because we’ve had several winners from there (and it’s not that big of a place from what I hear) but all Phil has to do now to claim his prize is to send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great day! - Keri

The Winning Shot…

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

It wasn’t his final shot of the day, it wasn’t even on the 18th hole, but without this chip in for Par on the 13th at the Blue Monster in Doral last weekend, Geoff Ogilvy might have found that the World Golf Championships - CA could have turned out a whole lot differently…

So, we’d like to say congratulations to our winner, who was Paul Verdigets of Metarie, Louisiana and now Paul, just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days and we’ll get that driver out to you.

Online Gaming Makes Room For Golf

Monday, March 24th, 2008

It seems that American executives are not taking online poker bans lying down. They’re golfing.

UTour Golf and World Golf Tour are two big sites that are enticing gamblers to cash in their chips and start chipping off the green with them. These sites are the real thing too - a full 18 holes on courses from all over the world. Players can enter tournaments and leagues with real cash prizes. And just like the PGA Tour, these sites host stroke play or match play events and tournaments with thousands of dollars to be won.

The demographic?

“They are very affluent, college-educated, mostly male, average age 35 and average income of $110,000 – not your typical gaming demographic, but middle-aged professionals are great for advertisers.”

It’s Big Prize Monday today on GolfNow.com’s Trivia Contest

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Hi, everyone and happy Monday!

Well, the weekend went by fast and now it’s a brand new week of fun golf trivia and great golf prizes. So, why not kick it off with a Big Prize Monday and our prize today is a TaylorMade Burner Driver.

Okay, last Friday, our trivia question was on the longest drive recorded with a featherie ball and 81% of the entries we received had the correct answer. So, on today’s show, we’ll tell you how long that drive was and, if your answer was correct, then you’ll add another entry into our computer for our daily drawings.

Our prize on last Friday’s show was a NIKE IC Mallet Putter and our winner was Stefanie Sansoterra of Phoenix, Arizona. Congratulations, Stefanie, and to claim your prize just send an e-mail to me at keri@golfnow.com within the next 30 days.

We also heard from two of our winners last week - Robert Rosenberg of Longwood, Florida and Alan Martin of Metarie, Louisiana but, so far this year, we’ve heard from a little less than 50% of the winners we’ve announced. That means that a lot of people have won on our show, but didn’t get in touch with us to claim their prize. Remember, this year, it’s up to you to contact us if you see your name, so, be sure to watch the show each day to see if you’re our winner. You can also check the show archives if you happen to miss a show or look for your name in either my daily e-mail or the GolfNow daily e-mail.

Okay, that’s it for today. Have a great day! - Keri
