    Boy, what a talent.

I hope she first leans to play and win on the LPGA tour!

The importance of Michelle Wie for the tour can be gauged from the fact that so many people flocked to the scene of the final qualifying stage to watch her play. There was a lot of pressure on her to make it through to the tour ‘the right way’ and she has managed that quite successfully. Now with Annika not playing on tour anymore, Michelle Wie will have to step up to the plate to pose as the challenger to Lorena Ochoa’s dominance on tour.

Unfortunately, ever since she burst on to the scene as that incredible talent, she has failed to live up to the billing and I am glad that she has taken the right step forward. She summed it up perfectly when she said “It feels like a clean slate, a new beginning, and I finally feel like I really earned it.” That is just the right way to go about her task and hopefully she can come through and prove her worth. The LPGA tour desperately needs her to be there amongst the contender week in and week out. She is the ‘phenom’ the tour has been lacking for a while.

    Play Well.
