Sweepstakes Winners Golf with Keegan Bradley

Ever played a round of golf with PGA TOUR player Keegan Bradley? Ever flown on a private jet? Neither had Ti Conlon – until this past weekend that is.

Friday brought the start of the ultimate guys golf weekend trip for Ti – the winner of GolfNow’s Coast to Coast Sweepstakes with Keegan Bradley – and his two buddies, Matt O’Grady and Tim McAdam, and his cousin, Patrick Clifford. The four lucky golfers flew to Jupiter to start the whirlwind trip as part of the grand prize presented in part by Cleveland Golf/Srixon.

After arriving at The Bear’s Club, Keegan’s private home course in South Florida, the group took a picture under the clock near the clubhouse to document the beginning of their first round of the day on the East Coast. They teamed up and took on the first 18 holes, enjoying tips from the pro and some friendly banter along the way.

The group finished up shortly before noon, and after some quick high-fives, autographs and pictures with Keegan (who was heading to his sister’s wedding following the round), the foursome said goodbye and made their way to the airport.

“Playing with Keegan was great, ” said Matt, one of Ti’s friends. ” He was a really nice guy and the course was terrific, fantastic and difficult. We had a lot of fun.”

Hard to believe, but the day was only just beginning.

The group got boisterous as they pulled up to the hangar and walked out onto the tarmac. There in front of them sat their chariot to the West Coast, a Dassault Falcon 2000 twin-engine French business jet, provided by NetJets.

Ti and his buddies board their private jet for their second round of golf for the day on the West Coast.

After touring the cockpit and meeting the crew, Ti and his friends took off, toasting mid-air to the continuation of their golf journey, a second round scheduled at Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, Calif.

Having been fitted for a personalized set of Z series woods and irons from Cleveland Golf/Srixon each upon arrival, Ti’s friend, Tim, tossed one of his old clubs into the pond. “I don’t need it anymore, these new clubs are so much better,” he said.

Fourteen hours after teeing off for the first time, the guys finished the final round on a bucket list day just after sundown, tired, sun-kissed and fulfilled with golf pride and excitement for the remainder of the weekend.

“The whole day was just top notch – it was a perfect day and one of the best days of my life for sure,” said Ti. “If I could sum up this day in one word, probably ‘epic,’ because that’s exactly what it was.”
