It’s Time to Thank Your PGA Professional

Remember that guy? The one that knew everyone’s name even though he only met you once. The one that knew the yardage of every hole without walking down the course. The guy that always knew where your ball would land before you hit it.

He was your go-to club’s PGA Professional. Whether you like to admit it or not, he’s the reason why your game and score is as good as it is. He is your golf game.

Thx

PGA of America’s tribute played on Morning Drive to PGA Professionals in the Gulf States PGA section.

After 100 years, the PGA is giving thanks over 100 days to those members who have kept things running over the years. PGA Professionals use their love of the game to enrich the communities and lives around them.

Those who have participated include Davis Love III thanking his father, Stacy Lewis thanking Joe Hallet, and even Jordan Spieth emphasizing the impact 2015 PGA Teacher of the Year, Cameron McCormick, had on his life.

We’re giving you the chance to thank your favorite pro by supporting the PGA’s #ThxPGApro initiative. Within this campaign, you can give a shout out to your hometown PGA pro and thank them for all that they have done.

If you’re a PGA professional and would like to be featured, or know someone that should, shoot us a note at socialmedia@golfnow.com. Even if you’re currently a member and would like to thank your former coach or professional, we’d love to hear your story.

Pay tribute to those who have helped you fall in love with the game. Have you thanked a PGA pro yet?
