There are a handful of destinations that devoted golfers should trek to and play at least once in their lifetime and Myrtle Beach, S.C. is one of them.
This seaside town remains a favorite for golf buddies thanks to its cost-friendly courses and lodging that doesn’t come at the sacrifice of quality golf and overall experience. As you put together your bucket list golf trip to the Grand Strand, here are the must-play courses available on GolfNow for any budget.
$$$$ Courses
TPC Myrtle Beach: Built for tour-caliber golf, TPC Myrtle Beach stands as one of the Grand Strand’s toughest courses. Designed by Tom Fazio, TPC Myrtle Beach has hosted the Senior Tour Championship and is always in tip-top shape. Regular greens fees run up to $175 per player but tee times can be booked on GolfNow for around $70 per player.
Caledonia Golf & Fish Club: When it opened in 1995, the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club was named by Golf Digest as the “5th best new public course in the country.” Built on the site of a working southern rice plantation, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club tee times can be booked on GolfNow for roughly $110 per player.
Barefoot Resort: While tee times at the prestigious Dye Course at the Barefoot Resort aren’t available via GolfNow, golfers looking for bang for their buck can book at one of the three other courses at the prized resort. Tee times at the Norman, Fazio and Love Courses are around $102 per player and well worth it.
Glen Dornoch Golf Links: Slightly easier on the pocketbook, Dornoch is a terrific value. Set on 260 acres of lakes, oaks, marsh and river views, Glen Dornoch is annually ranked among the top 25 courses in the region. Players can find tee times starting around $75 on GolfNow.

Pawleys Plantation: A Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, Pawleys Plantation has wide green fairways and tricky greens tucked in throughout natural hazards. Measuring at 7,026 yards from the tips, the course is challenging but fair and well worth the price of admission.
The Tradition Club: Voted the South Carolina Golf Course of the Year in 2000, Tradition Golf Club is a championship-style golf course that brings its players back in time — on a course that can stand the test of time. With a large practice facility, get here early and warm up for your round.
Carolina National: A 4 1/2-star Golf Digest-rated course, the Fred Couples-designed Carolina National Golf Club is set along the Lockwood Folly River and has three separate nine-hole course and golfers can choose from multiple tee placements for a range in difficulty. Current GolfNow booking rates are as low as $57.
$$ Courses
Black Bear: Don’t be fooled by Black Bear Golf Club’s toned-down vibe. The course, which features 23 lakes and a challenging layout designed by Tom Jackson, is tough. Regular weekend tee times run up to $89 but you can book on GolfNow for just $46.
Indian Wells: With the heat Myrtle Beach gets over the summer months, a premium is put on well-maintained greens. The Links at Indian Wells have new TiftEagle greens and a fun and challenging layout.
Blackmoor: Gary Player-designed Blackmoor is build on the Longwood Plantation and curves along with the natural terrain near the Waccamaw River. With great value, Blackmoor is among the top destinations of high and low-handicappers alike.
