A September To Remember
As September and another exciting golf season comes to a close, we’re looking back on the month’s top four most-exciting moments.
1. For the FIRST TIME EVER, the PGA TOUR went to a wrap-around schedule and on Sept. 15 – more than 11 months after the season’s first tee off – the chase for the FedEx Cup concluded at The Tour Championship by Coca-Cola with a win by Billy Horschel.

2. Horschel became the YOUNGEST player to ever win the FedEx Cup after beating out Jim Furyk and Rory McIlroy by three strokes at The Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga.

3. Nineteen-year-old Kim Hyo-joo won her FIRST LPGA victory at The Evian Championship by one stroke over Karrie Webb, with Kim making birdie and Webb making bogey at the 72nd hole.

4. The 2014 Ryder Cup KICKED OFF on Sept. 26 at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. Team USA featured strong performances by rookies Patrick Reed (3-0-1) and Jordan Spieth (2-1-1), but Team Europe had an excellent showing, boosted by play from Ryder Cup veterans Graeme MacDowell (3-0-0) and Justin Rose (3-2-0). In the end, Team Europe retained the cup with a 16 1/2 to 11 1/2 victory.
