October is one of our favorite months for golf. The cool, crisp air of fall has set in and made for some excellent playing conditions. The leaves are changing colors, creating new beauty on the course, and the spooky Halloween spirit is in full swing. We’re not alone in our love for October and all of its ghostly glory – these GolfNow courses were even named in spirit of the season.

 

Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, Ghost Creek Course (North Plains, Ore.)

This North Plains, Oregon golf club keeps the spirit of Halloween alive all year long. The Ghost Creek course has had a rich history since its opening in 1992, hosting the 1996 USGA Amateur Championship and the 1997 Women’s Open Championship. Enjoy the finest of Oregon golf at Pumpkin Ridge with picturesque wetlands and dense forests.

 

Settler’s Ghost Golf Course (Barrie, Ontario)

Settler’s Ghost Golf Course in Barrie, Ontario, is situated on rolling farmland overlooking the Niagara Escarpment, Collingwood and Georgian Bay to the west, and Copeland Forest to the north. The greens are challenging to read but will reward approach shots.

 

Spooky Brook Golf Course (Somerset, N.J.)

Although spooky is in its name, Spooky Brook Golf Course is nothing to fear. The Somerset, New Jersey course is relatively flat with spacious tees, fairways, and greens, and is easy to walk. Golfers of all ages and skill levels will enjoy this course.
