Live Your PGA TOUR Dream

We’re pretty sure every golfer has secretly wondered what it would be like to be a PGA TOUR professional. To travel the world and play golf with the best competitors. To play the most heralded courses and hoist trophies in sweet victory.

But only the top 125 golfers in the world get to hold a PGA TOUR card and access to the biggest events in the game. So, the rest of us are left to just keep dreaming, right?

Wrong!

This weekend, Golf Channel Amateur Tour’s annual Duel in the Desert tournament kicks off, giving golfers like you and me an unparalleled opportunity to live that pro golf dream.

Hosted by the magnificent Paiute Golf Resort in Las Vegas, NV, Duel in the Desert is Am Tour’s only competition that allows both members and non-members alike to experience the excitement and exhilaration of an authentic PGA TOUR-style tournament.

Each year, hundreds of two-person teams travel to Sin City to play in the popular competition that combines the glitz, glamour and gambling of Las Vegas with great golf. In keeping with tradition, this year’s 11th annual Duel in the Desert will be held in conjunction with Super Bowl weekend, Jan. 31- Feb. 1, at Paiute’s three highly-rated courses – Wolf, Snow Mountain and Sun Mountain – all designed by famed course architect Pete Dye.

The 54-hole, two-person team competition consists of scramble, modified alternate shot, and best ball formats. All are played following USGA rules using stroke play to determine its champions, and with 12 different flights determined by handicap, the tournament is friendly and fair to golfers of all ages and skill sets.

Just like the pros (we imagine) only the best accommodations for tournament players – the legendary Monte Carlo Resort and Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Top finishers in each flight win prizes, trophies and more.
