2. Makray Memorial Golf Club

Since 1901, the Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood, Ill. has been a destination full of history and challenge. Originally owned by the members of the Chicago’s Standard Club, it was renovated in 1917 by famed designer, Donald Ross. After it’s closing in 2008, Ravisloe was reopened as a public jewel for all to once again enjoy. 4. Glenview Park Golf Club



Glenview Park Golf Club in Glenview, Ill. opened in 1920 and was recently renovated for an even better golf experience.

Uniquely redesigned to aid in the management of storm water after it rains, Glenview Park Golf Club is a place full of enjoyment and bliss.  This 6,113 yard par 70 course features bent grass tee boxes at each of it’s 18-holes. Surrounded by a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers, it is a public course with a private feel.



5. Arrowhead Golf Club



Since its opening in 1927, Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Ill. continues to offer a superb golf experience surrounded by a forest reserve.

With it’s three nine-hole courses that combine to form three separate par 72 18-hole layouts, Arrowhead Golf Club continues to offer a unique golf experience. Without a house in sight, this course features water on 17 out of 27 of it’s holes and is surrounded by forest preserve.
