8 Perfect Pairings for National Beer Day
National Beer Day is nearly upon us and, lucky for us, so is the golf season! To celebrate two of life’s most wonderful things, we decided to provide you with a menu.
So, maximize your National Beer Day with this list of golf and beer pairings. These may turn out to be your favorite playing partners…
Guinness & The K Club (Straffan, Ireland) – What goes better with a Guinness Stout than a wonderful Irish course? How about washing down the drink after playing the beautiful K Club? The Palmer Ryder Cup Course is one of Europe’s best and if you’re feeling brave, or perhaps have already started with the Guinness, the championship tees will give you the test of all tests.
Budweiser & Missouri Bluffs Golf Club (Saint Charles, Mo.) – If you’re a fan of the American lager, try a refreshing Bud after your round at Missouri Bluffs, just outside of St. Louis, and considered one of the best championship courses in the state of Missouri.
Coors & Broadmoor Golf Club (Colorado Springs, Colo.) – If you’re in the Rockies, you might as well have a taste of them. Try a Coors original or Coors Light following your round at the Arnold Palmer group-designed Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs. The Mountain Course, which opened in 1976, has gorgeous views and year-round availability.
Magic Hat & Okemo Valley Golf Club (Ludlow, Vt.) – Magic Hat and all its funky flavors – and bottle caps – are produced in Burlington. En route to the state’s capitol, stop off in Ludlow for a round at the resort-style Okemo Valley Golf Club. You’ll enjoy the view.
Sam Adams & Robert T. Lynch Municipal (Brookline, Mass.) – While you can’t get on the famed Country Club in Brookline, Mass., you can use GolfNow to get you on at nearby Robert T. Lynch Municipal, an underrated and historical track, which sits adjacent to the Country Club. When you’re done, have the beer of Boston, a Sam Adams!
Sierra Nevada & Bidwell Park Golf Course (Chico, Calif.) – With natural wilderness surrounding you and a round of golf in the foothills of Bidwell Park, enjoy one of Sierra Nevada Brewing Company’s offerings.
Narragansett & Foster Country Club (Foster, R.I.) – After your round at the underrated and little-known Rhode Island course, enjoy a Narragansett, which began in the nearby city. Foster CC runs along the Moosup River and Rhode Island hills, providing you with scenery that will challenge your game and senses.
Dos Equis & Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Resort & Spa (Cancun, Mexico) – I don’t always play golf in Mexico, but when I do, I prefer the Iberostar Playa Paraiso course, site of the Golf Channel’s Big Break Mexico. And when I play the beautiful P.B. Dye design, I prefer to enjoy a refreshing Dos Equis when the round is through.
Guinness with a K, mmmmmmmmmm
spot on! tally-ho!
