Executive Courses Make it a Breeze to Squeeze in a Round
Finding the time to get out on the course might seem like a formidable task between the business of work and family demands, and now during the summer the heat may sometimes pose a barrier at certain times of the day.
Executive golf courses are a perfect way to escape for a short time and squeeze in a quick round.
By design, executive-style golf courses much shorter, and are typically comprised of mostly par-3s, plus a few par-4s and par-5s. The average size of an 18-hole golf course is 6,000 yards, where as executive courses run about half that in size and the overall par for the course is also much lower.
Because executive courses are often times more casual and less challenging, they are perfect for beginning golfers looking to gain a feel for the game with less pressure. Sometimes just a few short, less-intimidating holes are all you need to build up your game and confidence.
Executive golf rounds are also typically more cost-efficient, and many courses have special offers for golfers. They also allow golfers to work on their short game more because of the shorter hole distances. Often a pitching wedge can be used to get the ball from tee to green, followed by two putts to the cup.
And for golfers who may have limitations to their game or are seeking something easier for fun, executive golf courses are an excellent choice as they allow you to get out of the sun, rain and other weather elements faster.
Whatever the reason, executive golf allows all of us to improve our game, work on our mechanics, enjoy being outside and most of all, continue to feel the passion for the sport that keeps us coming back for more, and that is never a bad thing.
