And The Winner Is…

Over 100,000 people entered, but only one could win.

Next month, one lucky golfer will be playing with four of his buddies alongside Keegan Bradley, then board a private jet, thanks to NetJets, to the west coast to continue the golf journey at Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club. It’s all part of the grand prize for the GolfNow Coast to Coast Sweepstakes with Keegan Bradley.

So, who exactly is the big winner? A huge congratulations to Ti Conlon from Glen Cove, New York! We caught up with Ti to get his reaction…

Q: How long have you been playing golf and how would you describe your style of play?

A: My father started me playing golf at a very young age but I was never fully into it until after college. At this point I’d say I’m a complete golf addict, and I’d describe my game as a work in progress. I’ve gotten my handicap down to 8/9 from 17 in the past couple years, so I’m always working at it.

Q: How did you hear about the contest; Do you use GolfNow a lot?

A: I’ve actually only used GolfNow once in my life earlier this year, but needless to say I made that time count when I saw an ad pop up, and I filled out a contest entry that turned out to be pretty worthwhile. That said, GolfNow offers a great service, and I love the GolfNow mobile app, so I’ll be using it a lot more in the future.

Q: What was your reaction when you found out you won?

A: I was in the middle of a round when I got the email notifying me I’d won and I was a little skeptical of its authenticity but when the win was confirmed let’s just say a few of my coworkers were a little startled when I started screaming and fist pumping in the middle of lunch.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about the trip?

A: Pretty pumped to be playing with Keegan. We are both grads of St. John’s, and I think we may have overlapped for a year (I’m a couple years older) but never met him. I really became a huge fan of his with his fiery performance alongside Phil at Medinah. He’s def one of my favorite guys to follow on tour.

Q: Ever flown on a private jet?

A: I’ve never been on a jet before but it’s something I think I could probably get used to.

A guy that doesn’t even use golf now wins a sweepstakes targeted towards people that DO use it. GolfNow, why wouldn’t there be some sort of minimum number of rounds booked in order to qualify? This makes me not want to use your site.

Dan makes a valid point here…..but how and where does GolfNow draw the line here……and is it “legal” to do that?

  3. Mr C says:

Perhaps entries should by based on rounds booked

Yes I agree. “I’ve actually only used GolfNow once in my life” is not a great line when promoting a service in a giveaway.

If you want to stop using Golf Now because he won then go ahead im sure they will still be in business! In fact quit golf we don’t need whiners like you on the course!!
