Get Ready for the World’s Largest Golf Outing

On Monday, Aug. 11, Billy Casper Golf (BCG) will be hosting the 4th annual World’s Largest Golf Outing. People will come together at more than 125 courses in 28 different states to benefit Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), an organization devoted to supporting and empowering disabled veterans.

Since the first year of World’s Largest Golf Outing, the event has raised and donated over $1.1 million to WWP, the largest amount ever via a single-day golf event. This year, with help from sponsors like Golf Channel and GolfNow, they expect to have another record-breaking donation.

Matt Ginella and Lauren Thompson, co-hosts Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive,” will gear up on Aug. 11 to help this worthy cause. Ginella will be playing at the St. John’s Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla., and Thompson will be enjoying her round at Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando, Fla. With their participation and plenty of on-site on-air updates on “Morning Drive,” The World’s Largest Golf Outing is sure to get plenty of attention in the golf world.

If you’d like to be involved in World’s Largest Golf Outing, it’s not too late:

We hope you’ll join us in supporting two of Billy Casper Golf’s biggest passions – playing golf and giving back – during the 2014 World’s Largest Golf Outing.

None of the golf course owners in New Hampshire, Main or Vermont are participating…it’s a shame…all this talk of supporting our veterans and then…no participation…not good!
